Overview
This seminar is designed to improve and enhance the effectiveness of brokers, property casualty agents, and general consultants. This seminar covers the principals of fire and smoke, and how to properly mitigate property damages as a result. It includes hands-on demonstrations of nine state-of-the-art tools used in the restoration process from ozone to dry ice blasting.
Seminar Contents
The content of this seminar is divided into four sections
Section l — Principals of Fire: Why does soot seem to go everywhere? How do you remove it? How do you get the odor out? How can you determine what is salvageable? How do you assess the condition of electronic equipment?
Section ll — Soot and Odor: How to recognize the various soot compositions. Proper deodorization methods.
Section III — Mitigation and Structural cleaning.
Section IV — Case Study: Follow the process from start to finish.

Participants will be given seminar-related materials for their personal reference.
Instructor
Your instructor for this course will be Geoff Ganz, a New York State Approved Instructor. Geoff is the President of the Syracuse, New York, Stanley Steemer franchise. He holds over 17 years of experience in restoration and has 16 IICRC certifications, including Master Water Restorer, Master Fire and Smoke Restorer, and Master Textile Cleaner.
