A missed alarm call at a large company in Auburn, NY, allowed water to run through an office building for three hours in the middle of the night before being detected.
Shortly after 3 a.m. the owners were notified of the flood at their facility and they immediately contacted Stanley Steemer. Braving a snow storm in the early a.m. hours, technicians arrived within two hours of the call to get the water damage under control.
Just over 6,000-sq-ft of office and office cubes were flooded from a single broken sprinkler head in a conference room. Several inches of water sprawled throughout the complex. Stanley Steemer immediately began extracting all of the water and put all of the furniture and contents on blocks off of the floor.
The technicians then pulled baseboards off of the wet walls and drilled holes behind them to allow dry air to access each wall cavity. By noon the day of the flood, all damages were mitigated and the drying process was underway. Four days later, after daily monitoring, the entire structure was dry and ready to be used again.
