A
Buffalo homeowner sustained water damage to a rental home
from a leaky second-floor pipe. They submitted their claim
to State Farm whose Premier Service Program called in Stanley
Steemer’s General Construction Division to inspect
for general repairs.
Initially, the
property owners thought all that was needed was some drywall
patching and painting in the kitchen. However, after a thorough
inspection, Stanley Steemer’s technicians discovered
that the plaster kitchen ceiling and walls were saturated
from the leaky supply line in a second-floor bathroom.
After informing
the claims adjuster and receiving permission to mitigate
the damages and dry the structure, Stanley Steemer began
removing the wet plaster walls and ceiling in the kitchen.
The kitchen was stripped down to the studs, mold was remediated,
and the flooring was removed. During the drying process,
plans for the necessary repairs were completed.
Handling each
aspect of the claim, the homeowners were very grateful for
the fast response and fast turnaround on the rebuild. Proving
that small details do matter, the homeowner expressed sincere
gratitude with how clean the house was left on a daily basis
during the demo work and rebuilding.
Since the construction
has been completed, the homeowner has asked for personal
services to be performed on the home they live in to increase
its value for a potential sale. |
