A
large Cazenovia Lake home suffered severe mold damage in
its basement as the result of a broken supply line that
ruptured during the winter, flooding the home for several
weeks. The basement and large crawl spaces were covered
in condensation and mold, epsecially on the wood subfloor
and floor beams.
In order
to property remediate the mold and mitigate damages, the
home needed to be dried before the remediation could begin.
A high-volume desiccant drying trailer was installed at
the home to remove all the moisture in the basement. Containment
was then setup throughout the home and in the crawl spaces
to begin the mold remediation. A combination of media blasting
and hand sanding was required to effectively remove the
mold.
Once
this massive process was completed, the affected areas were
fogged with Sporicidin to disinfect. The entire home was
then HEPA-vaccumed while large air-scrubbers cleaned the
air. The home was tested before and after the remediation
to make sure mold levels were reduced to normal. |
