A broken water supply line under the kitchen sink filled a Liverpool, New York, home with water for just over two days. The water severely damaged the kitchen floor, cupped hardwood floors in the living room and dining room, and devastated the entire finished basement.
The damage was discovered late on a Wednesday evening after the homeowner had not been home for over three days. The homeowner’s neighbor suggested they call Stanley Steemer, and within a half hour of the call, the Restoration Supervisor was at the home.
Over the next two days, technicians removed the kitchen and hallway floors, gutted the basement and setup the necessary drying equipment. Hardwood floor drying panels were used to save the cupped hardwoods and a high-volume desiccant drying trailer was used to dry the entire home. After five days the project was complete and the home was ready for reconstruction. |
