Stanley Steemer was called in by First Niagara to clean up after a residential fire caused by careless smoking in Penfield, New York. The fire started on the back deck and quickly burned up the side of the home and into the attic. The fire affected the main level of the home while the smoke damage spread throughout the entire structure.

After a thorough assessment of the project upon arrival, Stanley Steemer began the cleanup right away. The first step was to remove all of the charred and wet materials from the structure. At the same time all horizontal surfaces were given an initial emergency wipe down to help minimize damage from corrosion. The structure was dried out and all surfaces were thoroughly cleaned. The home was also treated with thermal fogging and ozone to remove any hidden sources of smoke odor.

All of the customer’s belongings were inventoried, packed, cleaned, and stored offsite by Stanley Steemer until the rebuild is completed by contractors.
