The
basement of a Rochester home was flooded after an extended
power outage caused by a windstorm. Stanley Steemer arrived
at the home within two hours of receiving the call for service.
Upon
our arrival the crew discovered that the basement was filled
with over two feet of water. After assessing the situation
the crew began the process of removing the water from the
basement. The water was slowly pumped out of the basement
to help minimize the risk of damage to the foundation.
Once
the water had been removed from the basement, the crew began
the task of removing all non-salvageable items. Most of
the items in the basement were beyond repair due to the
fact that they had been sitting in the water for an extended
period of time. The homeowner had been staying at another
location until the power could be restored. All items were
inventoried and a list was provided to the homeowner. All
affected carpet and pad were removed, along with all wet
drywall and insulation.
After
all non-salvageable materials were removed, Stanley Steemer
began the process of cleaning and drying the structure.
The structure was cleaned, dried and ready for repair within
three days. |
