A group of teenagers were partying late at night at an abandoned home next door to a State Farm insured’s home on Buffalo’s East Side. The owner of the home was having a hard time getting sleep and needed to be up early for work the following morning.
The homeowner eventually went over to the abandoned house to ask the teenagers to quiet down and mentioned to them that if they did not do so he would call the police. The following day the homeowner decided to stay at his girlfriend’s house for a few nights hoping to get some sleep. Three days later he returned home to find that his house had been broken into and vandalized.
He immediately called State Farm who called on Stanley Steemer to perform an emergency enclosure and start cleaning up the home. The teenagers spray painted the entire home, broke mirrors throughout, ripped cabinets out of the kitchen, cut a hole in a water bed on the second floor, and broke a fish tank that was built into the wall of the living room.
Stanley Steemer’s disaster team cleaned and dried the home, and made the structural repairs to put the home back into its pre-loss condition.
