Stanley Steemer responds to three neighbors within an hour of the emergency calls
On August 18, 2008, the town of West Seneca, New York, caused sewer backups on a local road while doing repairs to a sewage line. As a result, Stanley Steemer received three sewage claims simultaneously.
The claims came in from three different insurance carriers — MetLife, Erie, and State Farm. Two of the claims were agent referrals and one was a previous customer from the October snow storm of 2006. All three claims just so happened to be right next door to each other.
Four trucks with a total of eight technicians were dispatched immediately. All four teams were on site within an hour of the calls. Within five hours all three locations were cleaned up with the drying process started. All three homes were dry within three days and all associated odors were removed.
In a tense situation such as a sewage backup, the policyholders were all very thankful for the quick response to each of their homes.
